Planned CROWNWeb Release 1.2 Modifications

The following table outlines the planned modifications to CROWNWeb that will be implemented in Release 1.2.

Note: Items marked with an asterisk (*) in the Target Release column will be implemented in Phase Two (Release 1.1.3):

Clinical Performance Measure (CPM) Report Redesign
The ESRD CPM Hemodialysis (HD) and Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) Summary Reports will be updated. These updates will reflect changes that were approved by CMS for the 2009 Clinical Performance Measures.

Report Disclaimers

To emphasize security requirements for PHI/PII information, a PII/PHI disclaimer will be added to the following reports in CROWNWeb:

  • Patient Roster Report
  • Facility Personnel Report
  • Audit Forms Report
  • Audit Updates Report
  • Audit Additions Report
  • Audit Deletions Report

Data Caching
Enhanced data caching logic will be added to CROWNWeb to augment the security of PHI/PII data when users admit and discharge patients.

Account Time-Out Enhancements
Security measures will be implemented to ensure the consistent behavior of the 15 minute account time-out feature throughout CROWNWeb.

Serum Phosphorus Field Label
In the Clinical Tab of CROWNWeb, the abbreviation for the Serum Phosphorous field was incorrect. The abbreviation will be modified to "PHO".

Changes to Default Kt/V Method Menu
in the Facility Preferences section of CROWNWeb, the Derived from URR, no patient weight option in the Default Kt/V Method field will be removed.

Patient Height Auto-Population
In the Clinical Tab of CROWNWeb, the Patient Height field will correctly auto-populate with the previously entered value and unit of measurement.

Form 2728 - Date Training Began
The Date Training Began field will be required when completing CMS Form-2728 for those CMS Form-2728s reporting home training.

Serum Albumin and Serum Albumin Lower Limit Fields
On the CMS Form-2728 in CROWNWeb, the Serum Albumin and Serum Albumin Lower Limit fields will accept values that end with zero without displaying an error upon form submission.

In the User Management area of CROWNWeb, the page has been redesigned and enhanced to improve performance and usability.

Scope of Work Information Limitation - Warning
Upon user login, a warning message now informs all users that they are prohibited from accessing data that falls outside their Scope of Work.

Batch Submission - Patient ID Override Limitation
In the Batch submission functionality of CROWNWeb, logic has been implemented to prohibit the Batch feature from overwriting patient identifiers.

False Error Messages - CMS Form-2728
On the CMS Form-2728 in CROWNWeb, logic that triggered false error messages upon form submission has been identified and corrected.

Patient Transplant Information - CMS Form-2728
On the Re-entitlement CMS Form-2728 in CROWNWeb, a patient's previous transplant information will now display on the form when it is accessed.

Clinical Data Errors on Submission

In the Clinical Tab of CROWNWeb, errors will no longer occur when a user tries to submit data for the same facility, patient and clinical month for which data already exists.

Carry Over of Values from Month-to-Month on the Clinical Tab

In the Clinical Tab of CROWNWeb, the following vascular access fields will carry over for a patient from month-to-month: Access Type for Dialysis; AVF Usability Date; Maturing AVF Present?; AV Fistula State; AVF Creation Date; Maturing Graft Present?; AV Graft State; Access Physical Examination; Pre Pump Pressure; Graft Survey; Static Venous Pressure; Static Venous Pressure Frequency; Doppler; Doppler Frequency; Intra-Access Flow; and Intra-Access Flow Frequency. In addition, Access Type Frequency and Pre Pump Frequency fields auto-populate from month-to-month with the selected Facility Clinical default values. These values will still need to be manually verified before the submission of data.
